Hey, product manager! Do you want to play a key role in our strategic product development?
Whether it's a customer grabbing a yoghurt for a quick lunch, shopping for a fancy weekend dinner with friends, or buying groceries for the entire week - our mission is always the same: in CoopX, we thrive to make the shopping trip “worth it” through digital products and services.
As a Group Product Manager in CoopX, you will be at the centre of delivering on this mission by fine-tuning our product management machinery. You’ll lead a team of PMs, empowering and coaching them on defining aligned product strategies, OKRs, hypothesizing on activities and the delivery itself. You'll oversee core elements of our app, our end-to-end experience across our services and partner with teams across the customer/user journey to ensure we are able to personalise to each user's needs.
Luckily, won't be alone in your endeavours - in addition to our PMs, you'll work with great colleagues in Engineering, Data Science and Design, and in partnership with them, transform strategies into a product that scales. This involves considering customer needs, business needs and constraints, and competitive environments to help our business grow and retain its loyal user base.
As our Group Product Manager, you’ll:
- Lead a high performing team of Product Managers, ensuring that the product teams are prioritizing the right products and services for our business and that these products are operationalized in a scalable manner
- Define the operating structure and processes for your team to implement and scale the product strategy in your domains
- Advise Product teams throughout the product development lifecycle on the business implications and global feasibility of the product portfolio
- Be hands-on in product development if the time allows it, and potentially even be the PM of one “hobby” product - and set the strategy and prioritize this together with the rest of your portfolio
- Internalize and deeply understand Coop's growth strategy - and then align your team's mission and roadmap with this direction
- Execute. This means being constantly biased towards action, knowing the data, being in the details, setting a high bar and building strong collaborative relationships with other teams, thinking boldly, disambiguating, always thinking of the customer first, and rapidly iterating towards something demonstrably awesome
We believe this could be you:
- You have what we like to call customer obsession: a solid track record of delivering elegant solutions for true user problems
- A high bar across the board - for your own contributions, for the people you work with, and for the products you work on
- Data-driven by nature: you just go get the data you need and can whip it into an insightful story with no help
- You do not only settle for solving the problem, you always ask the important why before jumping into things
- Experience with running experiments to assess the effectiveness of product improvements/changes
- You have stellar product taste and great design instincts
- You’re triggered by guiding and shaping an organisation on what it means to be a product organisation, and you have the grit and stamina for it
- You have high technical know-how, and it’s a big plus if you have been doing some coding yourself previously
We also think you will need the following:
- Strong background in modern product management delivering great, user-centred products and solutions and you have the scars to prove it
- Higher education at BSc/MSc level or similar, particularly relevant work experience can compensate for this
- Full professional Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
Why should you join CoopX?
- A key role in shaping the shopping experience of tomorrow for over 2 million Norwegians
- Be part of an ambitious and diverse team with a startup mindset and, at the same time, backing from a large organization
- A high degree of autonomy where it's up to you and your team to solve the problem ahead
- Excellent opportunities for personal and professional development (e.g., conferences, training, dedicated time to work on own projects/upskilling, etc.)
- Fresh office spaces in central Oslo at Rebel and our HQ in Grorud with a high degree of freedom and flexibility on remote work
- Competitive compensation package in addition to good pension and insurance schemes
- Relocation assistance if moving to Norway
- Other benefits like mobile phone and internet coverage, company cabins, and discounts in all Coop stores

Retail is changing. Our mission is to lead industry innovation through digital products and services for all our 1,9 million co-owners and even more customers, making groceries and shopping hassle-free - allowing you to spend time on more important matters.
Our deliveries vary from apps, websites and hardware/software to support our unmanned stores, to payment and e-commerce solutions. Data is at the centre of all we do and we're developing advanced analytics products for a wide range of proposes.
Since our beginnings in 2018, we've grown into a full-sized team of 28. We are engineers, data scientists, designers and product managers from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. We are passionate about how technology and data can be used to make shopping smarter and more efficient, and we love to have a lot of fun while doing so.
We're a part of Coop, Norway's second-largest consumer goods and retail operator. As a customer-owned organisation, we differ from our competitors and this is being reflected in our vision - it should pay off to choose Coop. More than 1.9 million Norwegians own Coop, and being a co-owner of Coop gives you the opportunity to influence and take part in the profits we create. We do not exist to make a few persons rich, but to create value for you and me, hence our vision. This does not only apply to our customers and co-owners, but also to suppliers, our employees and the society that we're all a part of.
