Vi søger en erfaren Health, Safety, Security & Environment(HSSE)-profil med en maritim baggrund til at påtage sig den centrale rolle som "Designated Person Ashore" (DPA) og "Company Security Officer" (CSO).
Ansvarsområder: Som DPA/CSO vil du lede HSSE-forandringer og forbedringer, sikre overholdelse af nationale og internationale standarder. Dine opgaver inkluderer:
Samarbejde med afdelinger og teams for at sikre daglig overholdelse af krav.
Håndtering af HSSE-dokumentation for forskellige interessenter og relevante ledere.
Overvågning af hændelseshåndtering, træning og deltagelse i projekter efter behov.
Gennemførelse af revisioner, inspektioner og identifikation af farer og risikovurderinger (HIRA).
Rapportering af emissioner i overensstemmelse med regler og virksomhedspolitikker.
Organisation og deltagelse i skibs-til-land-øvelser og øvelser inden for nødberedskab.
Fremme af bedste praksis inden for HSSE i hele organisationen.
Kvalifikationer: Vi søger en kandidat, der:
Har mindst 5 års dokumenteret erfaring i en lignende rolle, helst inden for den maritime branche.
Har relevant uddannelse inden for HSSE (Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate eller tilsvarende OH&S-kvalifikation).
Besidder fremragende kommunikationsfærdigheder, både skriftligt og mundtligt på engelsk.
Demonstrerer kompetence i fortolkning/gennemgang/udvikling af HSSE-politikker, processer og procedurer (ISM/MLC/ISPS).
Er fleksibel med hensyn til rejser, herunder arbejdsdage på vores skibe og besøg på vores lokationer i Norge.
Har stærke analytiske færdigheder, IT-færdigheder og evnen til hurtigt at forstå nye systemer.
Har en solid forståelse af risikovurdering og planlægning af risikostyringsstrategier.
Excellerer i samarbejdsfærdigheder og fungerer godt i teammiljøer.

We are looking for a strong HSE professional with a maritime background, who is a self-starter and who thrives in an environment of changes and development ready to embark on a bold new direction to undertake the roles and responsibilities as DPA (as per ISM Code) and CSO (as per ISPS Code).
The high impact role is expected to take lead of HSSE changes and improvements designed to meet national and international standards of occupational health and safety, environmental management as well as security management.
You as the company’s DPA/CSO are indispensable in this. As DPA/CSO, you are our expert in the field of maritime safety and security management and you work closely with various departments and teams within the company to ensure compliance with requirements and the day-to-day activities. By doing this, you will support the Fjord Line teams in Scandinavia at our Hirtshals office. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing the required HSSE documentation for various stakeholders and sharing it with the relevant managers. You will collaborate across functions and department matters, such as incident management and training. Occasionally, you may be assigned to shorter work periods in support of projects such as dockings and conversions, as needed.
Your responsibilities and duties
With your eye for detail and excellent communicative skills, you will work effectively with various stakeholders to make a positive contribution to our HSSE activities and increase safety awareness- and culture within the organization. You take care of HSSE related documentation for tenders and projects, based on the Fjord Line Management System, local legislation and client specifications. In addition, you are responsible for:
Ensuring close collaboration with all departments and other stakeholders on HSSE matters.
Regulatory compliance and interpretation of requirements into useful and practical processes and procedures
Support and advise to management on HSSE matters.
Continuous review of the Fjord Line Management Systems to drive improvement and to prepare them for successful annual verification audit by the relevant Authorities.
Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and controlled manner with the appropriate level of risk management applied and in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and legislation.
Ensuring the follow up and investigation of all audit findings with root causes identified and addressed within the appropriate time scales, herein perform the role of Lead Incident Investigator, when required to do so.
Review and revise documents in support of the HSSE Management System.
Communication and coordination with colleagues in the relevant departments.
Improving internal resources onboard the ships and the Business Unit as a whole.
Support and advise on projects on-site where required.
Performing audits and inspections within applicable areas and departments as well as subcontractors, where applicable.
Review and assist with Hazard Identification & Risk Assessments (HIRA) for all departments to minimize HSSE risks and hazards.
Collect, validate, report, and respond to HSSE data.
Ensure environmental regulations that are applicable to the vessels and shore organization are conformed with and to report emissions as per standing regulations and company policies.
Partake in budgetary meetings and ensure budgets are upheld for the respective accounts.
Report to relevant Competent Authorities, as applicable
The Fjord Line Emergency Response and Preparedness herein organizing and participating to frequent ship-to-shore drills and Exercises.
Certification on board the fleet vessels and at the company's offices
Promoting best HSSE practices throughout the organization.
Qualifications
With your analytical skills, you translate theory into practical solutions. As an HSE Coordinator you work in a structured and organized way and you have excellent social and communicative skills. You enjoy working in a professional and enthusiastic team. Furthermore, you:
Will be an experienced HSE Professional and are interested in joining the cruise ferry industry.
Have at least 5 years of proven track record in a similar role, preferably from the maritime industry.
Are flexible towards travelling onboard the ships and visiting the offices In Scandinavia, when required.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English both written and verbal
Hold relevant education within the field of HSE. (Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent OH&S qualification).
Have experience of interpreting/reviewing/devising HSE policies, processes and procedures. (this includes, but is not limited to, ISM/MLC/ISPS)
Have good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand new systems.
Have a good understanding of evaluating risk and planning risk management strategies.
Have strong interpersonal skills and can work well with other people, including in teams or groups, formally and informally.
