As a Product Expert on the Navtor Performance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical success of our product suite. Your responsibilities include providing subject matter expertise, collaborating with development teams, guiding feature implementation, and ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap. You will serve as a key liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable insights. Additionally, you will stay informed about industry trends, assess emerging technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Performance products. This role also involves conducting training sessions and supporting customer-facing teams with technical insights.
The Navtor Performance team focuses on emissions compliance and performance analysis for vessel managers, owners, and operators worldwide. As the global leader in e-navigation solutions, Navtor provides deep insights and actionable intelligence to shore-side users and decision-makers. Your role will be instrumental in fulfilling Navtor’s vision: “Smart Shipping Made Easy.”
Your responsibility will be:
Third - Party Coordination:
Collaborate with third-party vendors, verifiers, classification societies, voyage management systems, and pool reporting systems to ensure alignment with data protocols and interfacing requirements.
Facilitate seamless communication and data exchange between Navtor systems and external platforms.
Stay updated on evolving shipping regulations related to emissions and compliance.
Coordinate the implementation of new features, system maintenance, and bug fixes, supporting the Product Manager, Performance, in this area.
Sensor Data Management:
Oversee the automated collection of aggregated data, including fuel consumption, power, pressures, temperatures, and various counters.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize data collection processes.
Coordinate with third parties on sensors and related equipment to improve data accuracy and reliability continuously.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical field. Relevant experience in marine performance or commercial sailing may compensate for formal education. If you feel qualified, please apply and explain why.
Proven experience in marine performance, marine regulations, engineering sensors, or a similar industry.
Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to stay updated on the latest developments in the marine performance landscape.
