Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Review daily noon reports from customer's vessels and act as an additional layer of validation for ship data
Liaise with vessels regarding reporting discrepancies and ensure accurate and high-quality data
Support troubleshooting of performance-related issues and provide clear, timely feedback to customers
Identify key focus areas for each vessel and build improvement plans, with inputs and feedback from relevant stakeholders
Provide feedback and support to Technical Managers and/or Owners in vessel performance-related matters with a focus on Energy Efficiency
Monitor monthly engine performance reports and provide detailed evaluations, highlighting areas that require improvement
Identify, plan and implement performance improvement projects across customer vessels/fleet with assistance from senior technical team members
Participate in weekly and monthly vessel performance meetings, with an expectation to identify reporting and performance gaps, including suggestions for how to improve further
Liaise with the software engineering team to suggest NavFleet product enhancements or identify bug fixes that impact customer experience
Lead ad-hoc internal/external analytical projects, to be defined by operations or technical leads
Contribute to a company knowledge database and case studies by sharing experiences and key takeaways from customer work
Minimum Qualifications:
Marine Engineer with a minimum sailing experience of 1 year as 3rd Engineer (2nd Asst.)
1-year shore-based experience in Marine Industry, preferably in a performance-oriented role
Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software, including strong working knowledge of MS Office
Experience with onboard reporting and performance systems
Well versed with the best on board reporting practices
Personal Qualities:
Dedicated adherence to SLA’s and deadlines
Strong communication skills, well-organized and excruciating attention to detail are a must
Flexibility to work with a team outside of “standard” office hours is required
Ability to work well individually as well as being part of a team
