Job Summary
We are looking for a strong, proactive & results-oriented team member to support accounting operations across multiple legal entities (GR, UK, US). The successful candidate will be part of a team of financial experts and work closely with stakeholders of different levels to enhance finance processes.
The Accountant will play a key role in helping the organization make data-driven decisions & achieve its business objectives. Principal aim of the role is to deliver timely & accurate financial data to Group Management, ensuring best-in class practices.
To be successful you must possess strong understanding of accounting principles.
Prior experience in implementation of Finance ERP system would be considered an asset.
Core Accountabilities
Preparation & posting of manual journal entries
Participate in month-end and year-end close activities, prepare accurate & timely financial reports
Ensure B/S reconciliations are timely performed
Support external audits and other professional services relationships
Work closely with finance teams across the organization to facilitate processes, gather financial data & resolve discrepancies
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts including ERP implementation
Deliver on ad hoc requests
Qualifications
BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related subjects
Skills & Experience - Essential
Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a previous or similar role
Worked in international group
Exceptional Organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
High level of numeracy skills
Accuracy and ability to quickly understand the business
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
Fluent English skills
Desirable
Prior experience in ERP implementation
Previous Experience in the Maritime Sector
