Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive & results-oriented team member to support accounting operations across multiple legal entities (GR, US). The successful candidate will be part of a team of financial experts and work closely with stakeholders of different levels to enhance finance processes.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist role will focus primarily on billings, collections and managing accounts receivable to ensure timely & accurate collection of outstanding invoices.
To be successful you must have deep understanding of billing practices & required supporting documentation and the ability to manage customer accounts efficiently while ensuring compliance with tax/VAT laws.
Core Accountabilities
Generate & send accurate invoices to customers in accordance with local VAT regulations
Ensure invoices are compliant with VAT requirements, including proper VAT rates & exemption documents
Maintain and update customer account information
Stay updated on changes in VAT regulations & assist in implementing necessary changes to billing processes
Manage and monitor the accounts receivable aging report to identify overdue accounts. Provide updates to the Accounts Receivable Manager and Leadership as needed
Follow-up on past due accounts
Negotiate payment arrangements with customers to ensure timely payment while maintaining positive relationships
Assist with resolving customer inquiries and disputes relating to billing
Qualifications
BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related subjects
Skills & Experience - Essential
Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a previous or similar role, accounts receivable, billing & collections
Strong understanding of AR process, VAT regulations, familiarity with cross border transactions
Customer focused: Ability to maintain positive customer relationships
Exceptional Organisational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
Fluent English skills
